Next month, Google pulls support for adblockers by jettisoning Manifest V2. This affects all chromium-based browsers including Brave, Edge, DuckDuckGo, and basically any browser that isn't firefox.
Monopoly tactics?

Stop using chrome and use Brave
What does this mean?
Means you have to install firefox with unlock origin.
Using anything but Firefox
Lmao
cool what is unlock origin?
Typo, it's an addon that blocks all ads and uses various obfuscated JavaScript solutions not to break internet pages but also give 0 analytics data to any website
It's Ublock Origin
Firefox
mozilla.org
uBlock Origin
addon: addons.mozilla.org
direct link: addons.mozilla.org
github: github.com
Librewolf
So you're saying we'll have to manually reinstall the sections of Manifest V2 that allow us to block ads?
Ok, thanks!
Always scared to click allow on "Read data on all websites you visit"
Seems like my autism have served me well sticking with mozilla for all these years.
guide?
Firefox has a lot of difficulty with google products. It lags and has latency and intermittency. Try watching a youtube stream on Firefox and it will be a stuttering mess
pirate adblockers
u cant make this shit up
Brave is built on chromium you tard
Wanted to like librewolf but it never seemed to work right. Using water Fox now but might just go to fire fox
Oh no! It might take like an hour or so for somebody to figure out a workaround when that happens!
There's no clear way to do that with Chrome, but it is for sure possible with Chromium, if by "manually reinstall" you mean "build from source code".
That will definitely work, but then like... you get to maintain that code, forever.
If you actually did that for real, there would continue to be manifest v2 support in addons though. But that's like, an omega level effort.
Firefox is going to go out of business.
It's over.
ublock: on
noscript: on
mountain dew: on-hand
yup it's time for Internets
Try watching a youtube stream on Firefox and it will be a stuttering mess
Works perfectly for me, sucks to suck I guess.
I only use Firefox so I can have 9 picture in picture windows open to watch camgirls.
it's open source with the most eyes out of open projects
It has to read the code to know if there's ads
Manifest Destiny but for penis enlargement ads
the workaround is using trannyfox lol
this just means there will be a bunch of forks of Chrome 138
seems like a nothingburger
I'm thinking of building a pi hole to stop all this bullshit. I bet is not that hard.
Ok. Guess I'll stop using chromium browsers. Easy fix. Get fucked, google.
Firefox just works
librewolf
For me it did take a bit of configuration and tweaking that for Firefox this is not needed. But once you can get past that it is fine
I think a bigger problem than this since you shouldn't have been using jewgle botnet to begin with is that jewgle uses companies like cloudflare to gatekeep other browsers off the internet. I normally use pale moon, but I couldn't post here for over a month earlier this year or even use my online banking website because cloudflare decided I was a bot with no recourse. other websites just won't load if you aren't using a jewgle browser.
Is this the thing that caused my ad blocker to stop working a few months ago and made me download a new one?
basically any browser that isn't firefox.
not my problem
literally how??? random females can show their crusty shithole and have 560 million but somehow the most useful nicest browser with a gazillion users in the world who depend on it cant make ends meet
That's an intentional filter to weed out the impatient zoomers who would comprimise on having simply the best and comfiest browser stay seething google cuck
Brave's adblocker is not an extension, it's built-in.
Fuck google, but I'm never using trannyfox.
I mean they are bluesky trannies, half their budget went to DEI shit and sex changes
What does this mean for operaGX? Been using it to limit ram usage while browsing.
Hosts file DNS blacklist Chads win again.
Try watching a youtube stream on Firefox and it will be a stuttering mess
The fuck is wrong with your system? My 10 year old PC with integrated graphics plays youtube videos without issues on firefox.
My Chrome now asks permission for the site to read my clipboard when I copy text
Denying it still copies it
What are the Jews doing here
Have more than one browser, duh
No
OperaGX is fat
