As slow as you think the pace currently is, there was a point where the war was a literal stalemate where the lines weren't even moving at all, and before that there was a time when Ukraine actually made gains. Let these evolutions give you some idea of the way things are trending.

I couldn't tell you when this is going to happen, but one day a time is going to come when Ukraine's ability to sustain any semblance of cohesion will collapse entirely. It will be just like what you saw happen last year in Syria where the Islamists advanced basically completely unopposed and Assad had to flee, or in Afghanistan a couple years before that. Eventually Zelensky will have to pack up and leave two.

Where this time happens in 2 years, 1 year, 6 months, a few months, or the meme of "2 weeks" I can't tell you. It depends on how much aid Ukraine manages to scam people into giving them, how well their propaganda apparatus is able to prop up support for the war, and various other factors.

The only thing I am certain of is that Ukraine is going to lose the war. They're not powerful enough to force the Russians out. That was mde clear in their failed offensive back in 2023. And since then they've only gotten weaker.

Neither Russian nor Ukrainian arms companies are "winning". Instead, they are "steadily, efficiently producing critically important military equipment for barely any profit". This is perfectly normal during war.
After the war, this could change. With all the chaos and turmoil in the world, the military spending is skyrocketing. Both Ukraine and Russia are absolute experts when it comes to modern military technologies, and they also benefit from cheap labor. They could earn ridiculous amounts of money selling weapons abroad.
Do you understand the implications of it? Yes or no?
If Ukraine can sell millions of drones abroad each year, this will fuel the rebuilding of the country and will provide resources to maintain a powerful army in the future.
Russia cannot allow it, because their goal, stated openly many times, is "demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine."
The war will continue. Either Russia will defeat Ukraine completely or it will die trying.

Whether or not Ukraine actually retains an arms industry after being carved up and sold to the highest bidders is unclear. It's looking more and more likely that Russia will carve off Donetsk and Luhansk, and maybe some more on top of that depending on how the situation in Kherson goes.
