The American hillbilly culture is fundamentally incompatible with European mannerisms.
The same way that from Africa African and Haitian construction workers come off to American rednecks is how we rednecks come off to Europeans.

We will be openly friendly, at too fast of a pace, in a way that is far beyond what a European is used to for someone who doesn't know them that well.
I've noticed that the African immigrants do the same to rednecks and they also are off put by how quickly the African dude will act like to be their best friend. Like dude I don't even know you that well yet.

What are the political implications of friendliness and acceptance being done at different paces for different societies?

There's no reason for you to come to these areas for tourism. There's nothing cool here. The immigrants that exist in these redneck communities are rejects from American City culture. So they fit in with the local rednecks because they are also rejects of American city culture.

Money and gibs. It's easier to access government money in those areas at all strata of society. Educated, non-educated, working, not working, it's just easier to get government stuff or money from the average income.
