LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL
>philosophy majors now have better job prospect than compsci
Computer Science faggots were pretentious retards when I was younger so fuck those cunts they can blow me
They're giving all the jobs to pajeets
mass shoplifting is bad but did you know the billion dollar corporations AVOIDED PAYING TAXES by creating a bunch of six figure low effort tech jobs (until the tax code around R&D changed in 2022)
Math and physics are meme degrees. CS and engineering are fucked.
Why didn't my parents tell me that healthcare is the only industry that's worth seeking higher education for?
Computer science major is now less valuable now than womens studies in America.
What ever you do, don't learn to code, put the fries in the bag bro.
It's the thank you we get for creating consciousness in software.
Google are there any wealthy philosophers
Google says yes but it's from being born into a wealthy family or an inheritance
Take the Diogenes pill
I’m 24 and starting my first real job after finishing college. I will make $24 USD an hour plus commission on what I sell. I will get decent benefits: PTO, 401k match, dental/health insurance, etc.
Is this a good job?
Depends on a variety of things, like where you live, your cost of living, if you have a wife or girlfriend who likes to waste your money or have kids.
Dr rashmire thetoiletban: Tell me what you had for breakfast and how you redeemed the cook
all jeet jobs are getting AI'd. No more jeets.
What do you sell? I've been in sales before and am absolutely terrible at it.
No wife, GF or kids. Dallas, Texas. I’m hoping a decent amount of my pay will be from commission, the 24 an hour is my guaranteed base pay.
Property and casualty insurance.
my friend has a cs degree and works at meta making like 230k maybe stop being retarded?
that would be funny, but these are not stats you take at face value
My first job after college was 14/hr in 2017
My job now is like 35/hr
You have a good job for your progress in life
In Dallas? You will be looking for a new jib soon
I will make $24 USD an hour
LOL
LMAO
35 an hour is pretty good. The people who interviewed me said they see a lot of potential in me and think I would work my way up quickly.
I doubt it. The company I will work for is quickly expanding and just recently moved to Dallas. Why do you say that?
You went and got too uppity, and you were always too autistic for society. I'd hire the philosopher first too.
Plus commission, retard
hey bro, u want some answers for your continuing education coursework??? if you have enough people in your office i'll hook ya up... those 24 hours+ethics and classroom equivalent won't do themself
2024 was the death toll for insurance companies look it up. Not sure why but they are closing shop in Texas
i can also do life and health
Computer science is an over saturated industry where you are extremely replaceable by a jeet that will take half the pay or a AI bot. Philosophy degree you can use it for a lot different things surprisingly see form law, healthcare, human resources, public policy even marketing and advertising. Add on there is likely a fraction of people getting philosophy degrees over computer science
be me
grandfather and uncle both worked in government
decide on either Chinese or Political Science
did not know about quality of programs or whatever since no one in my family ever told me, uni doesn't have a chinese major
whatever, do PSCI
......
spend years struggling to break into government or political related jobs, no one will help because I'm a fuckin white male, only get temp jobs that last a month or two
realize my family is retarded and screwed me
try to go back for a master's in finance
apparently all the finance guys are getting laid off
bank I applied to ghosted me as well
I wish I had joined the army. At any point. Right out of college, or not going to college at all. People will say "oh but that would suck". I don't care. I don't want to be alive anymore. I'm so tired. 10 years of struggling for fucking nothing.
Crypto and stocks were sold as "get rich quick" but it was actually "the only way to not suck shit at life".
2024 was the death toll for insurance companies
fake and gay...i am unironically the DMV for insurance license holders, and have been for longer than you've been alive
Dude don't be a racist. We're all humans, spread love and not hate
Why would the NY FED have this data to release in the first place?
That's the thing about jewmerica isn't it? Everything is about hiding the carrot, making stats seem better than they are. You can never get a straight answer "is this a good job". Always another psyop.
See this nigger forgot progressive was one of 4 that left
I was lucky to get a job with my degree 10 years ago, but a lot of my time ended up being teaching people who to use our custom code and fixing problems people created with it. About two years ago they cut a lot of coding jobs and I got moved to "AI strategies" which is mostly just seeing how we can implement AI and how to make it simple for people at the company to use, a lot of it ends up being just waiting for legal to get back to us about numerous things with implementation, people barely do any coding anymore, management loves AI so much they use it to write emails that would be longer than one sentence, this was apparent after one of the engineers lost it at the manager after they were asking for suppliers and they she sent him an email that she just copy and pasted from chatgpt listing a bunch of local suppliers, he had to talk to a bunch of them only to find out none of them really made these specific parts we needed. I feel like this can't really last, but I don't spend money, so I'll probably be fine if they do more cuts, but I can't imagine how hard it would be to get a job in tech if you aren't just brought in to work on an LLM.
Sure, but my company is going to give me a lot of that stuff for free. They even pay us 18 an hour just to go there and study for the state exam. I haven’t seen any other insurance company that will pay me just to study. The pay goes to $24 an hour plus commission after we finish studying and training.
Idk, my insurance company has been growing quickly and did very well in 2024.
watching these kinds of videos don't even make me angry anymore. its like the same feeling I get watching nature videos of animals doing their thing. I wouldn't get mad at a lion for the fact that they would eat me if I was near them, I just avoid them and don't think about them.
lmfao, progressive? those niggers don't even touch disasters anyways. TWIA does everything on that end that state farm/farmers don't cover, also those 2 have like 20x the market share progressive may have had b4 leaving
the exam should be open book if you do it in online modules so no need to study too much unless ur just going to get them hours
The healthcare industry won't be around forever, and won't even be well paying for much longer. It's one of the USA's biggest expenses and we can't afford it. The federal government already borrows money (from future taxpayers) to pay for the healthcare of people today.
Texas doesn’t offer it online, unfortunately. My company says it has a really high rate of people passing, they teach us how to do everything and give us practice tests as well. I will spend over 100 (paid) hours studying and taking practice tests, there is no way I fail this thing.
learn to nietzche
Dude don't be a faggot. We're not all equal, spread intelligence and discrimination.
Im going to get a masters in science in cs, I don't give a fuck.
When you finish your masters, part of you is going to consider going for a PhD. If you do, you will regret that decision.
philosophy major
yah they are all working at starbucks
The reason is because 99% of compsci are only good for IT project managers or webdev, shit which is extremely easy to develop and there's tons of self taught people in those fields.
How many compsci graduates are actually proficient in anything that requires actual intellect like Haskell or C? Everyone is a python or js developer nowadays.
Fraud is rampant and courts won't do shit about it. Almost like they're in on it.
kek the issue isn't actual healthcare workers, its middle men in healthcare aka insurance, pharma, mgmt (HUGE) etc
Crazy
Explained here:
websummit.com
Tech founders wanted to stop Web 3.0 and started organizing conferences to "save" or "fix" the internet with better encrypted protocol built on decentralized servers (I think they meant they could bypass cloudflare, maintain functionality and privacy, and let people create their own serviceable google search functions).
Yeah well, about that:
Over the last 15 years, the world has changed in many ways, and we’ve always been committed to adapting and re-evaluating our mission and goals to meet evolving challenges, ideas, and global circumstances. We’re currently in an especially charged moment in time: AI is rapidly transforming so many aspects of how we live and work, society feels fractured and divided across multiple fault lines, and a new generation of adults is entering an uncertain economic, political, and environmental landscape.
Against this backdrop, Web Summit wants to build stronger and more diverse communities within our broader ecosystem to facilitate meaningful connections across our global network.
This is why they don't hire whites.
Those will be the last to leave the industry, after everything else has been completely gutted.
