Been a while since I read it, so maybe I am forgetting about something, but Le Bon's "The Crowd" was basically exactly on point as far as I remember, despite having been published 130 years ago.

I almost exclusively read reference books, poetry and comic strips. I couldn't sit through something like this and enjoy myself. People tend to get pretty weird regarding books. If I find something in a recycling bin that peaks my interest I'll go for that, as long as it's antiquated and there's a great cover design.
