If you claim they burned them then where did the fuel come from? They didn’t just leave the bodies because there was no massive plague. Physical evidence for what happened on the eastern front should be cemeteries or mass graves an order of magnitude larger than anything ever seen before

You can say they were buried in mass graves but those graves would be dug up and reburied over time. As a city grows and changes old mass graves are uncovered all the time from past wars in Western Europe. That’s how Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery came into being. By now we should have uncovered enough mass graves to build memorial cemeteries 10x as big and even 10x as big still wouldn’t account for 87.5% of the alleged dead

So many people struggle with understanding the scale of these claims. Even if they were burned with wood you’d have to clear cut massive forests to do so. If they just left them to rot then historically every time that has happened a massive deadly plague killed most people.

There are many historical writers we don’t consider valid sources because they exaggerated so much. In the future, if your writers get the same treatment then it harms your ability to tell your story and give warning to future generations about what happened. For ancient battles we just assume that the numbers stated by contemporary governments and historians are lies and we base our predicted numbers for a battle off of what we can find with archeology. What would happen if WWII was held to the same standards?
If everything is copacetic then at minimum it increases your historical knowledge of a very important era and definitively proves you right
