I considered it an honor to fulfill the final wishes of the deceased with as much honor and dignity as could be provided.
I left because it didn't pay enough.
It was actually interesting doing funerals for different faiths and denominations. Usually it didn't bother me doing whatever, but a few funerals were harder than others as some stories were far more sad. People don't generally feel as bad when you know it's coming for a long time like cancer or age, it was accidents and suicides that were tougher. Infants and children are particularly difficult, even harder than people you knew in life. You just had to do your best and be as professional as possible regardless of the circumstances.

I dont care someone has to do this job. If my corpse gets leaked on internet or corpse gets fucked than shit happens. If you want to change it go with your superior morals and do this job or pay people doing this job more. Same thing happens in other jobs like nursing. You pay shit and you think you get best service while neets are joking about these who work.

For those who come after.

Sure, some are left behind as parents and even as grandparents, but even in that situation I would realize quickly that the kid itself didn't probably really have the capacity to suffer greatly or understand what was happening. And now that it's over the any suffering they experienced would be over, so there isn't really anything to grieve except the potential life they could've had, if they were otherwise healthy. It's like whatever potential they had, was quickly extinguished and it's like they never even were in the first place.
