Being a "Christian" is so easy to argue from.

You can really dismiss everything any religion has said.
If someone claims God is all powerful and all knowing...Jesus never said that.
But you follow everything in the Bible! ..Jesus never said to follow the Bible.
But you believe what the church says! Jesus never said attend church.
You believe Jesus is God!! Jesus never said he was...
What is GOD!!!?? I don't know, it's not knowable and Jesus never explained what God the father is, other then it's love.

The list goes on. You can basically say you're a Christian because you believe in his teachings, that praying to God is a helpful meditation done in private, church isn't required and that your moral conscious is the voice of God which is love and goodness.

There is no such thing as Classical Liberalism as a serious movement.
Liberal revolutions always split into two major factions, one that was pro-international banking and capitalistic(like the Jacobins, a.k.a the original Left), while the other wanted to preserve the older system to some degree, like conservatives(such as the Girondins, a.k.a the original Right).
One purged the other as soon as they got into power, and all forms of liberalism at the time, much like most modern revolutionary movements, were co-opted by a bunch of bankers or rich guys trying to make profit out of social unrest.
What people call "Classical Liberalism" is incompatible with itself, hence why it often leads to a dilemma of whether true Liberalism has ever been tried or not.
The think-tanks from that era that believed to be moderates or neutral enough to be deemed Classical Liberal, were either chased, forced to shut up, silenced, killed or forced to talk in behest of the new status quo. Once they died, their ideas were used by the new governors for social engineering, the death of their think-tanks as their saints(martyrs) that died for unaffiliated ideals, completely unrelated to what they originally meant or believed. This was likely the reason why many of the Girondins or other Liberals that were being hunted down by the new Jacobin regime, to speak against Liberalism or join other movements like Anarchism

That's why I say it's really easy to argue as a Christian. You could only follow the teachings in the sermon on the mount and still be a "Christian."

If an Atheist asks you any question related to the nature of God you can say you don't know, and you're not required to know as a Christian. If they ask you about social issues you can say you formed your options on your own and your political beliefs based on your personal moral conscience and logic.
