Literally just basic computer, network and cloud knowledge and python and (mainly)LLMs and some gumption, a smile and the ability to convince gen xers and boomers you can fix all their problems for a $30-60 grand setup is all you need to become a millionaire right now.

I've been a dev for 8 years. No degree. Not a math guy. But I have writing skills. I know how to code. I'm sure an LLM can walk me through that from front to back in like 15 minutes. If that. Math skills are great to have but it's not the 80s anymore. Most resources that actually make money are cheap and getting cheaper and most code and apps are garbage REST webslop. Algorithmic Efficiency only matters if it's costing you money and it can take a while to scale that much for a startup. Your leetcode/job interview shit test questions matter much less than getting to market quicker. And the proliferation of LLMs is making that apparent. LLMs suck at a math- so you can make a calculator agent tool, and hook it up to a web service with 2 functions. Or hook it up to numpy, or put an agent infront of it that only handles math questions...

I thought I couldn't get into ai because Im not a math guy. It's the opposite. It took the mathcels 60 years to get LLMs out the door and wordchads and logicchads are running with it.

It was never going to work.

During covid a ton of people went into this space with promises of infinite easy money, and now companies are actually cracking down on DEI and measuring performance properly, so these people are fucked.

Well not totally fucked, they scammed the economy for untold sums of money for years, but yeh all scams come to an end.

The AMA here was trying to fight the online prescription doctors from other countries who have the same legal status to prescribe a controlled substance as they do because it was cutting into their $250+ office visit charges for renewing your script every 6 months…

Can’t have some doctor from Canada cut a deal to hand out online scripts for a $20 fee paid by the pharmacy and make it up in volume since a computer did the diagnosis and interaction checks for them beforehand.
