It is reasonable for American citizens to want American immigration law enforced.
An illegal immigrant that has an interaction with law enforcement will be detained. The jurisdiction that detains the illegal immigrant will contact Immigration and Customs Enforcement. ICE will coordinate transport of the illegal immigrant to an ICE detention center whereupon the illegal immigrant will be quickly processed and placed outside of America's borders. This is how the system will work in states that enforce federal immigration law.
States that do not enforce federal immigration law will obviously not contact ICE and they will enjoy their diversity.
Illegal Immigrants will choose to relocate from states that enforce federal immigration law to sanctuary states and jurisdictions. The citizens of sanctuary states can choose to enjoy increasing diversity or they can elect politicians that enforce federal immigration laws.
No one is going to force sanctuary states, cities and jurisdictions to enforce federal immigration law. There will be no federal funds to help provide services or benefits to those sanctuary jurisdictions either.
In fact, the federal money the Biden administration spent to support illegal immigrants will be spent to process and deport them.
