That's great, name 1 thing that is running 200fps actual, you can record 1 second and identify 200 frames. There isn't a single thing, dumbass. You refresh 200fps in a game that runs at 30-60fps, that can have frame loss, so you have seemingly more frame loss because your stupid ass is doubling or tripling the refresh rate needed to display the game properly you stupid mother fucker. Older Battlefield games had notoriously crappy hit detection which got exponentially worse with bad ping. I still remember playing Battlefield VIetnam, helicopter duels with both players firing unguided missiles at each other. If you hit the enemy, and the rocket visibly exploded on his heli -nothing. You had to lead him by like a kilometer and fire the missile in such a way that it went right past him by a wiiiide margin, smoke from the rocket engine trailing off into the distance. Then you got a hit marker and he got damaged. Same shit with planes nad machien guns. You had to lead everyone with about as much distance as there was between you and them, otherwise, the perfectly aimed machine gun fire that visibly ripped chunks out of the enemy plane would no actual damage.

While BF 2 was good it was the first game to have what closely resembles DLC that we see today. It had "booster maps" they sold and changed the industry standard from patches always including maps as an apology for having to get a patch to selling the map. Also 2142 started the trend of putting ads into games

What’s wrong with Karkand? It has good pacing and the gradual shift from open fields to urban plaza to high ground/low ground street fighting is good design.
It had geography that you could use all weapon types in.

Artillery is fun for about 5 minutes then a sniper shows up and shuts down the entire thing and if you hunt him down he respawns with his spawn beacon hidden somewhere and ensures no fun will be had at the artillery pit.

There is a game called Squad. Its on modern engine, constantly updated and its based on BF2 project reality.
