My husband was laid off from a big mine in Utah that just did a massive layoff of all technical roles. He applied for probably around 100 jobs in the last 4 months. He got 10 interviews and just got an offer that he took in another state. It is rough out there, no doubt. The interview process is laughable in some cases. One company made him do a PowerPoint presentation and then didn't even know which role they were interviewing him for on the final round interview. What we have learned is startups are a nightmare, so are family owned businesses because they only really want to promote their family members. Small consulting firms looking to hire are also a joke because they want people who already have jobs and often time that is a conflict of interest, anyway. Also, red flag if they call you back right away for an interview. Red flag if they want to reimburse for your travel to a job interview. Do t waste your time for a company that can't afford a rental car or flight.

At Sparkasse bank they have 8 HR managers, HR middle managers and some assistants and all are females.

When I called them back next week, they cant remember about my interview and that position dose not exist anymore.

Despite my many years in experience in multiple roles, still get rejected. Even made it to the last round of these bullshit interviews, tasks and hoops to jump through, still back at sqaure one. The only way is doing it for your self it seems.

There is no way to remove fake/ghost jobs because if job board dose it manually, which they dont want every job post is free money for posting company like Indeed and Linkedin.

If they have AI to analyze and red flag those postings HR roasties will just change few words on listing and name of the position.
