Because the system is designed to prevent this. Children are a massive investment in the west. They enjoy all sorts of protections and are treated like royalty whenever possible, or as a virtue signal accessory by the parents in a lot of cases. The reason why 3rd world countries have a positive fertility rate, is because they don't have such strict child protection laws, meaning that the kids there can be a net gain and not an investment because they can be put to work, thus expanding one's net worth instead of shrinking or stagnating it. The economy's already in the shitter due to stupid government decisions like the COVID lockdowns and proxy war with Russia and other trade bullshit. And this is just 1 prong of the whole problem. It goes far deeper than that. Ultimately it's the government's fault and responsibility, not that they're ever held accountable for anything they do anyway. Migrants can't just come in unannounced. North Korea doesn't have this problem. They'd get shot and killed if they tried. This is desired and part of the divide and conquer operation so that the rich can keep getting richer.
