I used to work with these guys at Foodbasics for almost a decade. Literally the vast majority of them are completely incompetent at simple tasks like stacking water bottle packages or simply facing the store. I had to watch them like a hawk every shift to make sure they weren't slacking around or cutting corners. And that's if they know English, which many of them don't.
If you have an Indian store manager? You're fucking cooked like I had for three years, to the point I went back to college to finish my studies and get a job that didn't involve babying Indians. These Indians are nepotistic as fuck and will always hire Indians, no matter what, and no how futile it is, even they're FOB, uneducated monolinguists who speak only Hindi . We had part-time students who told the manager they were able to full-time despite that not being possible, skipped their shifts and bailed immediately after they got PR and office job but still expected to get paid for shifts they didn't even do.
The manager never learned his fucking lesson and kept hiring Indians who don't care about the job and see this as side hustle so they ski[p shifts, ignore tasks given to them, and quit without warning once they get a better offer. Almost every Indian I worked with told me they we're going to leave in couple months or maybe a ear at most, because they're about manual labor and they don't want to work here, and many of them quit in that time.
I literally don't want to work with any Indian at all anymore, even if they were raised here. The work ethnic and motivation of these guys so subpar that I question the quality of work that comes from Indians now. And this is just groceries and I can't imagine how they're fucking up in more complex industries.
